In 2019, two friends in Chicago, IL who owned a semi truck and trailer rental business found themselves struggling to find renters for their vehicles. Frustrated with traditional rental methods, they decided to create their own online platform that would connect truck owners with renters in a more efficient way. They launched the platform and called it “ShareRig”.

The initial success of ShareRig motivated the founders to further develop the concept. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive solution, they expanded the platform to include services for buying and selling trucks and trailers, introducing the option for lease-to-buy transactions. The logical progression led to the addition of truck financing services, which quickly became one of the most sought-after offerings on the platform.
