Pete's Take

2006 International 9400I Eagle

The 2006 International 9400I Eagle is a reliable sleeper truck that has proven its worth with over 1.3 million miles on the road. Powered by an ISX Cummins diesel engine and coupled with a manual transmission, this vehicle still runs and pulls well despite its age. It's been well-maintained, with a fresh paint job four years ago and several new parts added over the years.

  • Cummins Diesel Engine: The ISX Cummins diesel engine is known for its reliability and power, making it ideal for long hauls. In addition, this model does not require DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), which can be a cost-saving feature for some drivers.

  • Maintenance and Upgrades: The owner has taken great care of this truck, replacing all three air tanks, water pump, starter, clutch components among other parts. This indicates a high level of maintenance which contributes to the vehicle's longevity.

  • PTO Output Shaft: This truck features a Power Take-Off (PTO) output shaft which allows you to run any accessory you wish to add - a feature that provides versatility in terms of functionality.

  • Sleeper Cab: As a sleeper truck, it offers the convenience of having living quarters for long-distance haulers. This could potentially save costs on accommodation during trips.

In conclusion, the 2006 International 9400I Eagle is not just an old workhorse but also a versatile and reliable companion for anyone in need of a durable long-haul vehicle.
